An ozone generator is a device used to prepare active oxygen . Its working principle mainly involves converting oxygen  into ozone  through high-voltage discharge or ultraviolet irradiation, etc. The following are the main working principles and types of ozone generators:

High-voltage electric field discharge method
The high-voltage electric field discharge method is currently the most widely used principle of ozone generators. The basic principle is to use a high-voltage electric field to ionize oxygen molecules in the air, generating oxygen free radicals, which further react with oxygen molecules to form ozone. During this process, a halo discharge is formed between the high-voltage electrode and the grounding electrode, generating sufficient energy to ionize oxygen molecules.
Ultraviolet radiation method
Ultraviolet radiation is a method that uses ultraviolet light to irradiate oxygen molecules, causing them to decompose into oxygen free radicals. Then, the oxygen free radicals react with the oxygen molecules to form ozone. This method generates a relatively low ozone concentration, but the equipment is simple and easy to install and maintain.
Photochemical method
Photochemical method involves irradiating oxygen molecules with light of specific wavelengths, causing them to undergo photolysis and generate oxygen free radicals, which in turn produce ozone. This method generates a relatively high concentration of ozone, but the equipment cost is high.
Electrochemical method
The electrochemical method involves causing oxygen molecules in an electrolyte solution to undergo oxidation-reduction reactions and generate ozone. This method generates a relatively high concentration of ozone, but the equipment is rather complex.

The working process of an ozone generator can be divided into the following steps:
High-voltage power supply: The ozone generator is equipped with a built-in high-voltage power supply for generating a high-voltage electric field. When the power supply is connected, the high-voltage power supply converts alternating current into high-voltage direct current.
Discharge electrode: The ozone generator is equipped with discharge electrodes inside. These electrodes are usually made of metal materials and have excellent electrical conductivity. When high-voltage direct current passes through the electrodes, a high-voltage electric field is formed between the electrodes.
Gas ionization: Under the influence of a high-voltage electric field, gas molecules (such as oxygen) are ionized and decomposed into oxygen atoms. These oxygen atoms have high activity and are prone to combine with other gas molecules.
Ozone generation: Oxygen atoms combine with oxygen molecules to form ozone (O3). Ozone has strong oxidizing properties and can effectively decompose harmful substances in the air, such as bacteria, viruses, and organic matter.
Gas emission: The generated ozone is released into the air through the emission outlet, purifying the environment. Meanwhile, ozone will gradually decompose into oxygen in the air and will not cause pollution to the environment.
